Our birthing center provides care to patients who have high-risk pregnancies, gynecological disorders and perinatal loss. The patient rooms have recently been renovated and provide private showers and sleeping accommodations for a support person. Renovations are currently under way for our labor and delivery unit. Certified Lactation Consultants are also available to patients during their stay, as well as for phone consultation after they go home. University Hospital offers a Level III Birthing Center with internationally recognized neonatal and perinatal services. We offer both traditional labor and delivery suites or birthing suites designed for labor, delivery and recovery.
